Vaginal Fisting

Vaginal fisting is, as you might expect,
putting a whole hand inside a vagina. While it might sound outlandish, many
people in fact find fisting can be an intensely pleasurably experience,
provided its done properly. There are a few pointers to observe:

1. Share and share alike!

As ever, communication is essential. Both
partners need to be relaxed, comfortable and open to each other before
attempting fisting. Go slowly, gently and carefully, and don’t be afraid to
stop if either of you changes your mind. It helps to think of fisting as a
joint effort, rather than something one partner is doing to the other.

2. Hand Signals

Penetration by hand is not done with a
fist. Instead, all five fingers are held together as close as possible and the
hand kept straight until its well inside the vagina. Bear in mind that men’s
hands are usually larger than women’s – sometimes the hand will just be too
big. You could try using the non-dominant hand, which tends to be smaller
(usually the right hand in right-handed people).

Make sure that fingernails are trimmed very
short, smooth and totally clean. A full manicure is called for here! You don’t
want any rough edges or sharp nails. For consistent fisting try The Hand, a fist shaped penetrator.

3. Lubrication

It’s impossible to use too much lube when
it comes to fisting. Slather it over your whole hand, paying special attention
to the knuckles, and keep adding lube as you go. Using a glove helps keep
things slippery and also protects against STDs. You should be using water-based
lubricant (we recommend the Toy Fluid Water Based Lubricant  for vaginal fisting, so there should be no problem using latex
gloves.)

4. Position

Lying back and stretching out fully with
hips slightly raised can make it easier. Experiment until you find a
comfortable position. The more aroused the woman is, the better – fisting can
be easiest after an orgasm when the muscles are more relaxed.

5. Once inside

Stay there! Pulling out suddenly could
cause pain. At this point, the woman may want a little gentle movement, or she
may be happier just feeling the ‘stretch’ of having a whole hand inside her.
The hand can gently open and close, giving extra sensation, or you can move
back and forth like you’re fucking. It will be easiest to remove your hand when
the woman comes, as her muscles will help to push the hand out of her vagina,
but it still needs to be done slowly and gently.

Above all, go slowly. Allow the woman time
to relax and let her muscles adjust to the feeling of being penetrated by a
much larger object than she’s used to. Fisting can be fun, but if it’s not done
carefully can be dangerous. For more information on fisting check out, A Hand in the Bush: The Fine Art of Vaginal Fisting.
